"Super Swimmer" packages 2012

Six financial aid packages are available to “super” swimmers.

Details follow:
Package value: Maximum R15k or US$2k

Package includes:

  1. ‪Economy return ticket (R11 000 max) from nearest main airport to Cape Town, South Africa
  2. Local accommodation (local B&B or guest house – private room) for three nights
  3. Breakfast
  4. Entry fees, tickets to awards dinner and all other applicable to all participants
  5. ‪Basic shuttle to and from the airport and to and from the race
  6. Applications closed by end February

Qualifying criteria for a Super Swimmer package (swimmer obliged to provide proof)

  1. ‪Must have qualified for the Cadiz Freedom Swim as per rules and regulations
  2. ‪Placed top 20 in a 5km, 10km, or 25km race at the World Swimming Championships; or
  3. Placed in the top 10 at a FINA World Cup or FINA Grand Prix race; or
  4. ‪Won one of the world’s top open water swims; or
  5. ‪A known extreme swimmer with a track record and proof of extreme swims.

 

The Cadiz Freedom Swim Committee reserves the right to approve or decline any application at its own discretion.
Successful package applicants will receive a contract detailing their achievements and their obligation to attend and complete the swim. Failing to do so will require a full package refund.
The successfully selected swimmers will be obliged to publicise their participation in the Cadiz Freedom Swim, and refer at all times to the full title, “Cadiz Freedom Swim” and adhere to all branding, marketing, photography, media, autographing and other requirements as stated in their contracts.
