Prizes (2012)

Every swimmer (solo and relay) who completes the race will receive a Cadiz Freedom Swim medal as they emerge from the water at Big Bay.
Solo swimmers who complete the race are eligible for a CLDSA medal @ an additional R300 which should be ordered ahead of the swim from info@energyevents.co.za

Solos:

Overall winner: R80 000 (US$10 000)
2nd overall: R20 000 (US$2 500)
3rd overall: R8 000 (US$1 000)
1st solo male and female will each receive: R5 000 
2nd solo male and female will each receive: R3 000
3rd solo male and female will each receive: R1 000
40+ 1st male and female: sponsored prize
50+ 1st male and female: sponsored prize
1st junior: sponsored prize

Open no wetsuit:
1st team: R20 000
2nd team: R10 000
